All new hires to the University of Houston attend orientation on their first day. At new hire orientation, sustainability is discussed as one of the campuses resources to staff, faculty, students and the entire community.

A digital staff handbook is provided which lists the top things you can do to make an impact, lists contact information (website, social media, email, etc.), and informs new employees about campus sustainability initiatives.
