A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
During the last year, the University of Houston has hired Robertson Demolition and Lone Star Disposal to be responsible for the construction and demolition waste from the new stadium that has been built. Each of these vendors respectively go through their own recycling companies - Southern Crush (concrete and asphalt) and Prowler Metal (steel). Each of these vendors reclaim these materials in environmentally responsible ways.
