The Office of the President, University of Hawai‘i, hereby declares and reaffirms its commitment to the University's equal education and employment opportunity policy. The University is committed to a policy of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, sex, age, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, handicap, marital status, arrest and court record, sexual orientation, and veteran status. This policy covers admission and access to and participation, treatment, and employment in the University's programs and activities. It covers employment practices such as recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, retention, compensation, benefits, transfers, and layoffs. The University shall promote a full realization of equal opportunity through a positive, continuing program of equal opportunity and affirmative action on each campus.
It is the policy of the University of Hawai‘i to comply with the applicable federal and state statutes, rules, regulations, city and county ordinances, and provisions in the

The CARE Team is a supportive body for any student who may be in distress or whose behavior is concerning to others. The CARE Team helps assess and find solutions for disruptive, problematic, or concerning student behavior. Though they mainly focus on distress situations, they can respond to discrimination cases.

TRiO Educational Talent Search (TRiO ETS) serves young people in grades six through twelve in career and college planning. The goal of TRiO ETS is to increase the number of youth who complete high school to enroll in and complete college. TRiO ETS students participate in grade-specific activities held at their school, in the community, and at college campuses.

TRiO ETS prefernce will be given to students whose family income does not exceed guidelines established by the federal government and/or whose natural or adoptive parent(s) have not earned a four-year college/university degree.

Ka Piko tutoring services (Math Lab, Writing Lab) are available for online drop-in tutoring and appointment-based for the Fall 2021 semester. Tutoring is FREE and available to all WCC students.

The WCC Counseling and Advising department is comprised of college counselors, faculty and support staff who work to support students’ personal and academic growth and development. We provide academic, career and personal counseling to assist students with decision-making in the exploration of their educational, career, and personal goals.

Both programs are free and open to all students including those from underrepresented groups.
