UHMC Waste Management written policy signed by the Chancellor that is designed to reduce waste on campus, including eliminating the use of plastic on campus.

Initiatives to shift individuals attitudes and practices such as promoting a plastic bottle ban on campus, developing a waste-free community event kit, conducting regular waste audits to inform and prioritize current waste efforts on campus, pursuing improvements of green and food waste composting, and engaging with the community to develop better practices across Maui.
