A brief description of the employee educators program (1st program):

The Sustainability Committee (SC) was formed in 2009 for the purpose of demonstrating and creating a culture of sustainability at UH Maui College. The SC developed and adheres to a UHMC Sustainability Plan and framework for decision making that promotes the responsible and sustainable stewardship of Maui Nuiʻs finite resources, including the overall campus use of natural resources.


A brief description of the employee educators program’s target audience (1st program):

The SC seeks to connect students and employees of UHMC campus, as well as the broader Maui community, with the information, tools, and inspiration for creating a culture of sustainability. Committee members include broad representation from campus Administrators, faculty, and staff, as well as community members. Committee membership includes representatives from Administrators, Department Chairs and Program Coordinators, SSM faculty, SLIM, OCET, O & M, RDP and faculty staff with relevant expertise and interest.
