Campus Wide Ban of Waste Management

A brief description of the campaign:

Maui College banned plastic on campus (for example in the vending machines and in the cafeteria). Green kits were also created for outside events. Trial composting to reuse food waste. Maui College hands out reusuable water bottles and food containers.


A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:

The University of Hawaii Maui College, by and through its Chancellor (Lui) hereby pledges to take action to reduce its waste to minimal levels within five years, commencing with the following which shall be instituted as immediately as possible as Phase I of this commitment.
