The Quality of Faculty Worklife Survey is administered by the Office of Vice President for Academic Strategy on behalf of the All Campus Council of Faculty Senate Chairs (ACCFSC). The survey focuses on different worklife dimensions, such as professional worklife, reward/evaluation system, collegial relations, students, faculty governance, etc.
The study included 4,043 members of the UH faculty (≥0.50 FTE). Faculty were contacted via email by the OVPAS through
an electronic listserv that was established for this project. The email provided instructions on locating and accessing the
online survey.

The University of Hawai'i utilizes these results in creating the UH System Strategic Plan 2023-2029.
The University of Hawaiʻi offers various services and programs that support a healthy work-life balance which has been influenced by the results of the Faculty Worklife survey. This includes Telework options, child care centers, Employee Assistance Program, Employee parking, Employee Recognition & Service Awards, Faculty & Staff Tuition waivers, and University Housing.
