A brief description of the sustainable operations and maintenance policy/program and/or O+M rating system(s) used:

The Metasys® building control systems are designed to optimize building operating systems and the central chiller plant for energy efficiency. Lighting controls are installed in both indoor and outdoor areas on-campus to provide the most efficient, sufficient lighting levels when lighting is needed. Johnson Controls works to support the operations and maintenance of Honolulu Community College buildings. These buildings have undergone two phases of efficiency retrofits to optimize the facilities on campus by enhancing existing systems and replacing outdated equipment. Some of these measures include HVAC retrofits, solar hot water production systems, trash compactor installation, low-flow, and low-volume water bathroom retrofits, PC power managers, equipment hours of operation updates, energy miser installation, solar PV with battery backup, and window film installation.
