A brief description of the graduate-level degree program:
The MEd-CS Interdisciplinary Education track with an emphasis in Aloha ʻĀina Education and Leadership is a 30-credit program for Aloha ʻĀina educators and leaders. The cohort focuses on Aloha ʻĀina as a foundation for relationships, education, leadership, well-being, and research in Hawaiʻi. Participating educators will critically engage with Aloha ʻĀina in various contexts to help them better understand, articulate, and respond to their kuleana to ʻāina and Lāhui. Aloha ʻĀina professors will work with participating educators to develop an interdisciplinary MEd-CS degree program specifically designed to help them address the needs, goals, and aspirations of their school, district, and/or community.

Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management (NREM) offers a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) degree, a course driven,
professional program that includes an integrated capstone experience. The curriculum emphasizes subjects such as geospatial analysis & modeling, environmental policy & economics, applied terrestrial ecology, and land & water resource management.

The NREM graduate program brings together natural and social scientists to offer an integrative and interdisciplinary program to understand and manage tropical and sub-tropical terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. The NREM curriculum emphasizes the application of physical, biological, spatial, and social sciences to the conservation and sustainable management of natural, environmental and economic resources.
