A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

The University's fleet is constantly seeking out new technology that will lessen our environmental footprint and increase advancement in alternative fuel forces to lessen our dependency on fossil fuels. Examples include the use of electric vehicles and efficient, low-speed vehicles for on-campus operations. UGA operates 20 electric buses on campus and is in the procurement process for 13 more, with plans for a total of 33 electric buses in circulation by the end of 2021, comprising more than half of the transit fleet. UGA currently offers six publicly available electric vehicle charging stations strategically located in high use campus parking decks.
