Yes
Percentage of employees (staff and faculty) assessed, directly or by representative sample (0-100):
31
A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction and engagement:
In October 2015, the University of Georgia distributed a campus-wide survey entitled “University of Georgia – A Research Study of Climate for Learning, Living and Working” to all undergraduate students, graduate and post-doc students, faculty, and staff. The survey did not directly address “employee satisfaction and engagement,” but instead address
“climate” which was defined as “the current attitudes, behaviors, and standards of employees and students concerning the access for, inclusion of and level of respect for individual and group needs, abilities, and potential.” (Executive Summary at iv).
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):
Two workgroups were formed to address the concerns identified through the survey: a faculty workgroup and a staff workgroup. Each workgroup developed a list of recommendation based on the survey results and are now in the implementation phase of those recommendations.
