The Office of Sustainability was initiated in 2010 as part of a strategic directive to enhance conservation of resources and long-term sustainability at the University of Georgia. Primary responsibilities of the Office include coordination, communication, and advancement of sustainability initiatives at the UGA. Mission: To coordinate, communicate and advance sustainability initiatives at UGA in the areas of teaching, research, service & outreach, student engagement, and campus operations. To ensure campus-wide implementation of the University’s commitment to sustainability as outlined in the 2020 Strategic Plan. Vision: To create inspired leaders, stronger communities, and thriving natural systems.
