Has the institution assessed diversity and equity in terms of campus climate?:
Yes
A brief description of the campus climate assessment(s) :
The UF Faculty and Staff Climate Survey was available for completion from October 27 through November 27 of 2015 and was designed to help determine how well the university fosters an overall sense of belonging for its faculty and staff while leveraging the uniqueness of the people who work here. Creating an inclusive climate allows all of us to do our best work and together shape a better UF.
The UF Faculty and Staff Climate Survey built on the work of the UF President’s Council on Diversity, the Faculty Senate, and a long list of other campus participants, and it was informed by comparable work done at peer institutions. Based on the results of this survey, action items will be identified to influence our workplace practices, interactions, and/or general environment. Initial results were published in June 2016. Information about the Climate Survey can be found here: http://president.ufl.edu/initiatives/uf-faculty-and-staff-climate-survey/
A Diversity Action Plan was enacted in 2011 by the President's Council on Diversity: http://hr.ufl.edu/wp-content/uploads/publications/Diversity%20Action%20Plan%20-%20August%202011.pdf

Yes
A brief description of the student diversity and educational equity assessment(s):
Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) Survey: http://www.seru.ufl.edu/
The University of Florida administers the SERU survey to undergraduate students. SERU focuses on the undergraduate mission of research universities in particular. It is also a survey of the whole population, not just a sample. As a result, it enables analysis and reporting about majors, colleges, and other sub-populations about topics such as student development, academic experience, civic engagement, campus climate, global knowledge and skills, student ethical beliefs and behaviors, demographics, art and cultural experiences. SERU results are being analyzed as a whole and in subsets to address areas of best practices and areas for improvement on campus.
