A brief description of the metering system:
All buildings have electricity and natural gas meters. UF is currently working with several vendors to centrally read all campus electric meters. We can currently monitor chilled water and steam usage in most of our major campus buildings through the Johnson Controls Metasys program or similar programs from other vendors. In addition, PPD continues to install additional chilled water, steam, and water meters in buildings that do not have them. Our goal is to enable real time and accurate metering of all campus utilities, and this is incorporated into all new construction.
