Does the institution have a pre-consumer food waste composting program?:
Yes
A brief description of the pre-consumer food waste composting program:
We are currently composting our coffee grounds from all of our coffee locations as well as our lemon rinds for the Chick-Fil-A on campus. We are distributing used coffee grounds throughout the campus & community for reuse in farming, composting, and landscaping. These can help replace the use of chemical-intensive fertilizers.
o Reusing over 6,000 lbs of coffee grounds per year
We are working on putting together a full scale food waste composting system within the next year.
