A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability at the municipal/local level, including the issues, legislation, and ordinances for or against which the institution has advocated:
The university has a somewhat adversarial relationship with both the legislature and the municipal government. Therefore we find that it is better for the university to step aside so that our academic experts support the local sustainability initiatives. Government officials often utilize our experts to help with legislation, task forces and planning for the future.
