A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

In 2015-2016 UD performed a financial and end user cost/benefit analysis of hybrid, plug-in and electric vehicle options vs. our existing gasoline fleet. The analysis was performed for new vehicles procured through existing procedures. UD is currently in the process of reviewing the findings, consulting stakeholders (vehicle users) and creating guidelines to reduce fleet emissions. UD also supports the first vehicle-to-grid research study in the USA with custom-made BMW Electric Minis, and we have a separate ongoing research engagement with fuel cell hydrogen powered buses, with several more being brought online in 2016.
