A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:

Students in our sustainability project courses have studied the feasibility of fueling our diesel vehicles using biodiesel produced from used cooking oil. Facilities Management is actively exploring alternative fuel options for heavily used vehicles on campus.

In addition to its alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet, UD also has three flexible-fuel vehicles that are able to run on gasoline as well as E85 (gasoline-ethanol blends of up to 85% ethanol).
