The Hanley Sustainability Institute distributes the Sustainability UD e-newsletter bi-weekly to community partners and University of Dayton (UD) faculty, staff, students and alumni. The e-newsletter includes short updates on UD people, projects and priorities focused on sustainability, reminders about upcoming events on and off campus that relate to sustainability and additional relevant academic and service opportunities for our current UD students.

Solar Prairie at Curran place: interpretive signs for the solar panels and the pollinator prairie.

Digital displays in the lobbies of Curran and Fitz on the solar generation from those building's solar arrays.

Each of the LEED certified buildings is signed with a plate designating its certification. Fitz Hall is signed on interior hallways noting the local sourcing and salvaging of materials from the building’s reconstruction. There is a sustainability self-guided tour in our newest building which is LEED Gold certified. The tour highlights sustainable features throughout the structure and includes a map with more information about each feature.

Yes

A brief description of the guide for green living and/or incorporating sustainability into the residential experience:

Student leaders in the Sustainability Activation Program created and filmed Green Living videos, with students as the target audience. These videos are available for the campus community. Peer educators use these videos as part of sustainable living programs offered for students, especially those students living in campus-owned residences and houses in the student neighborhood.
