When the University receives a report of an act of bias to a designated office, the incident will be shared with one or more of the offices listed below. Staff will review the report and take actions as appropriate. The actions include:

BRIDGE is a pipeline program that fosters a family of engineers starting at a 5 week summer program, to the next proceeding years of undergrad, and beyond. This program starts the summer before your fall semester as a first-year student. It is a five-week intensive academic enrichment program held at the UConn Storrs campus. This is a residential program where students will be living in the UConn residential halls. BRIDGE is designed to prepare students who are underrepresented in engineering or STEM workforce for the rigor of the engineering or STEM curriculum at UConn. This program specifically targets four core necessities of support in college - Academics, Professionalism, Social, and Financials. It will also introduce leadership opportunities along with careers in engineering, and helps to familiarize students with the UConn campus and the college experience as a whole. Students accepted to any of UConn’s campuses are welcome to join the program held at the Storrs campus

BRIDGE is a pipeline program that fosters a family of engineers starting at a 5 week summer program, to the next proceeding years of undergrad, and beyond. This program starts the summer before your fall semester as a first-year student. It is a five-week intensive academic enrichment program held at the UConn Storrs campus. This is a residential program where students will be living in the UConn residential halls. BRIDGE is designed to prepare students who are underrepresented in engineering or STEM workforce for the rigor of the engineering or STEM curriculum at UConn. This program specifically targets four core necessities of support in college - Academics, Professionalism, Social, and Financials. It will also introduce leadership opportunities along with careers in engineering, and helps to familiarize students with the UConn campus and the college experience as a whole. The Neag School of Education has been selected by the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) as one of ten institutions nationwide to participate in its Networked Improvement Community (NIC) aimed at increasing the number of Black and Latino men in teacher preparation and into teaching. Participating institutions commit to increasing the number of young men of color in their teacher education programs by 25% over several years and participate in a networked knowledge-sharing community on effective methods.
