Does the institution host a food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource focused on alleviating food insecurity, hunger and poverty among students?:
Yes
A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:
The University of Connecticut has a network of food pantries across their campuses. It is a partnership between the Connecticut Foodshare and the UConn dining department to address food insecurity. On the Storrs campus the food pantry is located at the Charter Oak Apartments Community Center. The food pantry provides non-perishable food items, toiletries, and more. The campus food pantry is available to anyone with a UConn ID, including but not limited to UConn students, during operating hours. Additionally, there is a Husky Harvest Wish List to ensure that the pantry is providing items that are needed.
