A brief description of the program:
The University of Colorado Denver requires that all laboratories complete and update a chemical inventory for all laboratory chemicals on at least an annual basis using the Environmental Health and Safety online chemical inventory system (http://ehsassist.ucdenver.edu).
Unofficially UC Denver has a chemical exchange program where Hazardous Waste Specialists during the process of updating inventories, informally re-distributes some unspent chemicals through the EHS hazardous materials program.
Additionally, we reclaim spent alcohol and sell or re-distribute it. Reclamation occurs through EHS hazardous materials group, with details about our fractional distillation and re-sell program found at the link below.
