UC Denver does not have formal policy to require green cleaning products on either campus. However, the university's "Green Purchasing Guidelines" encourage purchasing of green cleaning products and procedures and practices to reduce pollution and release of toxic wastes.

Given that an overwhelming number of cleaning product purchases are funneled through the preferred provider contract with STAPLES, combined with the information about cleaning product purchases from the contracted Aztec Cleaning Janitorial Services for UCD on both campuses, we fill that this is a representative sample which recognizes seasonal and other variations that influence purchasing behavior from both campuses.
