A brief description of the snow and ice removal program, policy, or practice:
The primary objective is to quickly remove snow and ice hazards from pedestrian walkways, plazas, parking facilities and roads to allow the staff, students, patients, and visitors the ability to safely access their destinations when they arrive on campus. During our snow removal operation, snow and ice are stored at designated areas including all landscaped areas, although the use of snow melting solutions at the Anschutz Medical campus is minimum, when is required we use ice melting solutions that area eco friendly.
