A brief description of the postconsumer food waste composting program:
In the fall of 2010, a pilot compost program was approved in the Tivoli Student Union. The program began in January 2011 and has since diverted over 30 tons of food-waste from the landfill. The program is currently being revitalized as new signage, vendor participation, and a new service contract are all being implemented.
