Sustainability in Research:
Research related to sustainability explores the World Commission on Environment and Development in 1987 definition: “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs” by focusing on a key principle of sustainability. This not only includes environmentally focused research, but also research which addresses a sustainability challenge in any of the educational, physical science, social science, or economic disciplines.
