There are at least two student groups on campus that are directly focused on sustainability: The Sustainability Club is an interdisciplinary group of students that promotes sustainability through education, consulting, and direct action. In addition, the UC Denver Net Impact chapter's vision for all University of Colorado-Denver Net Impact alumni is that they graduate with the knowledge and ability to influence their organization in the areas of: Corporate Social Responsibility, International Development, and Environment and Green Business.

The Sustainable Campus Program is a student program that collects fees from students to pursue recycling, composting, energy and water efficiency projects.
