A brief description of the institution’s GHG emissions reduction initiatives:
UCCS has a Green Labs Program to conserve energy. All new buildings are LEED Gold with significant attention to reducing energy use. UCCS upgrades lighting to LED during renovations. They conducted an ASHRAE Level 3 energy audit as part of an energy performance contract in 2022-2023. UCCS plans to make significant improvements to monitor and reduce building energy use and invest in renewable energy.
