A brief description of the mentoring relationship and activities:
1. The Director of Sustainability has had regular communication with Chris Herr, the Director of Sustainability at Auraria Higher Education Campus from the Fall of 2023 to present. We have a monthly meeting where we exchange updates on projects and share advice and best practices.
2. The Director of Sustainability has also collaborated with Ian Johnson, Director of Sustainability, and Mae Rohrbach, Sustainability Coordinator, at Colorado College from the Summer of 2023 to the present. We have met once a semester to discuss important updates regarding sustainability efforts at our respective campuses, best practices, and opportunities for collaboration.
3. The Director of Sustainability has had regular communication with Ezra Small, Campus Sustainability Manager at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Ezra served as a mentor for our Director as part of the AASHE 2022-2023 Mentorship Program. We provided updates on projects and shared advice and best practices.

UCCS collaborates with Colorado College, CU Boulder, CU Denver, CSU Fort Collins, Pikes Peak Community College, Fort Lewis College, University of Denver, Auraria Higher Education Center, Colorado Mesa University, and Western Colorado University in numerous initiatives, including events, sharing strategies, mentorship, etc. Collaboration includes the Colorado Campus Consortium for Renewable Energy, a multi-year effort to secure large scale renewables for higher education throughout Colorado.
