As of October 2016, UCCS Dining and Hospitality Services earned the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Chain of Custody certification to serve sustainable seafood in both dining halls. UCCS is the first university in Colorado, and one of 13 institutions of higher education in the United States to earn the MSC certification for sustainable seafood practices.
