The three current LEED Gold certified buildings have posters, signs, and brochures that highlight and explain green or LEED features. Three of the buildings have LCD screens in the lobbies with LEED information, features, and real time energy and renewable energy data. The Science & Engineering building has a self-guided 23 point tour for green features in the building.

UCCS is now a member of Plant Select®. The purpose of Plant Select is to seek out, identify and distribute the very best plants for Colorado landscapes. Being a member offers us more opportunities to educate students, faculty, staff, and the community about plants that thrive in local landscapes.

There is a detailed tour of the LEED Gold certified Science & Engineering building. The tour includes a guide as well as signs that highlight various LEED or green features of the building. Sustainability features have been incorporated into all campus tours given by students to prospective students.

There is a reporter from the campus newspaper, The Scribe, assigned to the sustainability beat. They have interviewed the Sustainability Office twice within the last few weeks for sustainability-related articles. Sustainability is also regularly covered in the Communique, an online staff and faculty newsletter.
