Has at least one individual with formal sustainability responsibilities at the institution served as a mentor or been mentored by a colleague with sustainability responsibilities at another institution during the previous three years?:
Yes

Description of the institution’s sustainability mentoring activities:

1) The CU Boulder Green Labs Program Manager is presently mentoring the newly hired and first Green Labs Program Coordinator at the University of Colorado Anschutz. Members of the CU Anschutz campus engaged CU Boulder Green Labs to provide input on starting a Green Labs Program at CU Anschutz and also asked for CU Boulder’s help with onboarding the new hired coordinator for the program. Through online and in-person working meetings, advice is being provided to the new coordinator on how to get a new program started at CU Anschutz, sharing of resources created by CU Boulder including posters and other informational material that could be copied or modified to meet the needs of the CU Anschutz Green Labs Program, suggestions on the type of efforts or activities that could be pursued in the first year of the program to show maximal program impact, and discussion on the bigger picture efforts underway on a national and international level to better integrate sustainability into scientific research. It is expected that mentorship will turn into a long-term collaborative effort between CU Boulder and CU Anschutz Green Labs Programs since there are significant benefits to working together to advance sustainability within research for the University of Colorado system. 2) Campus Energy manager supports fellow CASDEM members with the State Required reporting of energy consumption into the benchmarking program within Energy Star Portfolio Manager.
