UC has 6 LEED certified buildings and each building includes informational signage highlighting various features of the sustainable design.

UC Food Services includes informational signage on vegetarian options and the Meatless Monday program. Signage also highlights the benefits of trayless dining and asking students only to take what they intend to eat in order to reduce food waste. Via the sustainability website commuters can find information on many alternative transportation options, including free campus shuttles, reduced fare bus passes, carpooling, and bike share.

In 2010, the University of Cincinnati created a campus bike shop to service the fleet of the Bearcat Bike Share and to provide an informal atmosphere for the UC community to learn about bike repair, bike safety, commuting, and to use the resources to do simple repairs on their own bikes. From 2010 to December of 2016, the Bike Kitchen was located in a former kitchen space of the old Faculty Club. Currently, the new Bike Kitchen is being designed and is planned on being completed by the end of the Fall semester of 2017. The Bike Kitchen is managed by the Office of Sustainability, and trained bike mechanics run the open shop hours.
