A brief description of the program, policy, or practice:
Traditionally students are placed with a roommate based on natal sex. A limited number of two-person suites (two twin beds in one room, with an adjoining private bathroom) in the Stratford Heights Village Complex are designated as gender-neutral spaces and held for availability upon request for as long as possible depending upon housing demand. These spaces are intended to provide an on-campus housing option for transgender or opposite-gender students who should not or cannot be assigned to room with a (not mutually requested) person of the same natal sex. Gender-neutral housing options are not intended for romantic couples.
