The University of Cincinnati created a transformative master plan in 2000 that put 2 billion dollars of construction on campus. An addendum to the plan was adopted in 2004. In 2007 just after the University signed the ACUPCC, addenda to the master plans were devoted to sustainability.
1. Transportation Master Plan – The transportation plan now includes: (a – d implemented
a. Updated bike plan to coordinate with the city of Cincinnati and won a Queen City Bike Friendly Destination Award – Gold; A “Bike Kitchen” – repair and maintenance shop run by students
b. Shuttle Buses to get among campuses
c. Zip Car – implemented
d. UC*Metro – discounts for students, faculty and staff for use of public transportation
2. Energy Master Plan – 30Mil of Energy Project Implemented to reduce use of energy, emissions and costs; 2009 Version 1; 2014 will be updated
3. Storm Water Master Plan 2013 – not yet implemented
4. Landscape Master Plan 2013 - Priorities included native plant selection, integrated pest management, sustainable maintenance of green areas
