A brief description of the program or practice:
The University's grounds management division is always exploring better ways of using less water, and the selection of xeriphytic plants is one of the recommendations in place. Other environmental principles such as less frequent mowing, reduced chemical applications, and irrigation systems equipped with soil moisture and rain sensors are also used.
