A brief description of the metering system:
Campus buildings have steam and chilled water metering equipment that send usage data to the networked automated building controls system for processing and storage on a server. Most buildings have networked electric (a separate system from steam and chilled water) meters that also write data to a server. Buildings not networked and also those using natural gas have utility company metering.
