A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the inventory:
The university recently transitioned from a quarter system to a semester system. For the switch, every department had to create new course information. At that time, an option to tag a course with a sustainability attribute was created. Through that process, course creators had the option to consider whether each course is sustainability focused or related. After this process, a group of students working under the direction of the Provost's Office and Office of Sustainability, reviewed the entire course catalog, removing some inappropriately tagged classes and adding others that needed the sustainability tag.
