A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

New Employee Orientation is required for all non-student hires and some reclassifications. Attendees are given a brief history of sustainability on campus and are introduced to resources, avenues of engagement, and training opportunities by an Office of Sustainability Initiatives employee. They are given an overview of the function of the office in relation to the campus and community. Attendees are given a sustainability tour of the campus, which highlights LEED-certified buildings, solar installations, and other initiatives. In addition, attendees receive a decorative on-pager with sustainable home and office tips covering transportation, energy efficiency, plastic use alternatives.
