A brief description of the campaign:

For the last 14 years, Sustainability Initiatives, in conjunction with the Department of Housing and Residence Life, has led a campaign to reward students who reduce their energy consumption. Buildings compete within each living community, and residents of winning buildings become eligible for scholarships.

SI engaged students through social media, tabling, and posters displayed in residence halls.


A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign:

In Spring 2019, winning buildings reduced their energy consumption by an average of 9,772.99 kWh, equivalent to a 15.72% reduction
