Sustainability Initiatives maintains a social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. In addition, the UCF community can opt-in to their choice of a student or employee targeted newsletter. Each bi-weekly newsletter provides news articles, information on upcoming campus and community events, job, internship, and grant opportunities, plant-based recipes, and resources for behavior transformation.

- Landscapes throughout campus include signage with the genus and species of flora, habitat information, and QR codes that lead users to more information.
- Nature trails incorporate signage on the various ecosystems, wildlife, and natural resource management best practices in use(such as prescribed burns).

- USGBC LEED-certified buildings have the seal displayed to indicate their green building qualification level.

Sustainability Initiatives continuously provides the opportunity for students, staff, partners, and community members to gain insight into sustainability operations and infrastructure on campus. Each tour is designed to meet the needs of the audience. Tours can be requested online on SI's website. Possible stops include:
High-performance buildings
Floating solar array
EV charging station solar array
109KW solar array (near Garage B)
Combined Heat & Power (CHP) plant
Chilled Water plant
Knights Helping Knights Pantry
Water tower

Yes

A brief description of the guide for green living and/or incorporating sustainability into the residential experience:

Sustainability Initiatives partners with Housing and Residence Life to provide sustainability tips and resources to on-campus residents via social media and newsletters. Residents are encouraged to reduce energy consumption via the annual Kill-A-Watt competition in which top-performing buildings receive recognition and students earn scholarships. In addition, SI provides a semi-annual move-out Swap Shop and donation drive.
