A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
An export of all research reported in UCF's Office or Research was used to determine total UCF research efforts and sustainability research efforts. Only funded research reported to the office of research is accounted for; published papers, theses, etc. were not included. In order to capture sustainability research, sustainability search terms were utilized and indicated. That subset was further reviewed to determine applicability by the STARS liaison. Research for the fiscal year 2019 was reported. Filters were utilized to prevent counting researchers or departments more than once. Only Principal Investigators and Co-Investigators were included. Only explicit academic departments were included; centers were excluded.
