A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
As UCF’s home since 1968, our 1,415-acre main campus in east Orlando is impressive in size and even bigger in potential. Modern facilities and state-of-the-art technology keep students connected to classwork and social communities, while 800 acres of woodlands, lakes and an arboretum help the UCF community reconnect with nature. Whether inside a classroom or outside exploring, our campus is an exciting place to learn — and an easy place to love.
In addition to the Main Campus, the University also has two sister campuses (Rosen College of Hospitality Management and the Health Sciences campus) and ten regional campuses across the state. The scope of this report only includes the physical main campus. While Rosen and the Health Science Campus are located in the Orlando, operational control, utility billing, and facilities management differ from the main campus. However activities such as research and courses that are housed by a sister campus but take place on the main campus were included.
Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? | Included? | |
Agricultural school | No | --- |
Medical school | Yes | No |
Other professional school with labs and clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) | Yes | Yes |
Satellite campus | Yes | No |
Farm larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares | No | --- |
Agricultural experiment station larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares | No | --- |
Hospital | No | --- |
If there are features present that are not included within the boundary, provide:
Due to the University's expansive size and number of satellite and auxiliary units, the boundary was determined by excluding units outside of the main campus and/or outside of operational control. Examples: 1) the Rosen satellite campus was excluded despite being located in Orlando; 2) some buildings located in the main campus adjacent Research Park that receive utilities services from the University were excluded due to the lack of operational control.
