The building square footages are based on the University of California's "Outside Gross Square Feet" (OGSF) definition and includes buildings at the main campus, Westside Research Park, Silicon Valley Campus, and the Coastal Science Campus. Unoccupied support structures under 100 sq. ft. were not included.

Therefore, we are using most of the same square footage from our last 2019 report. In 2020, UCSC conducted a reassessment of our campus space, so there was no significant change from 2018 to 2019. Still there will be updates in our next reporting cycle.
