A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
An on-line travel survey was conducted during Spring 2018 to determine the trip-making frequency and mode choice for residential and commuting students and faculty/staff when traveling on/off campus and across campus. The survey was sent to all faculty, staff, and students. We have conducted more recent surveys (see additional documentation below for our 2021 survey) but due to Covid, we feel the 2018 numbers are a more fair representation of our regular commuting statistics. Although we could get more points with our 2021 numbers, we would like to conservatively submit our 2018 numbers here.
