There are ten collective bargaining units at UCSB representing non-academic employees. Pay rates for each collective bargaining unit are determined through UC system-wide bargaining and negotiations. The minimum rate for each collective bargaining unit differs. As of August 1, 2023, the minimum step rate for incumbents in each bargaining unit ranged between $19.20/hour to $104.00/hour.
