A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
The First Year Experience (FYI) program is an eight (8) course follow-up to the New Employee Orientation and is held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 9:10 a.m. (40 minutes) via ZOOM.

One of the courses offered through FYI is titled "Get Moving with TPS: Explore Transportation Alternatives" The orientation available to all new employees focuses on alternative, cost saving commuting options for UCSB employees such as bicycle, bus, carpool, vanpool, and train.
