A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:

A survey is administered by the Social Science Survey Center on behalf of the Chancellor's Campus Sustainability Committee and the office of Administrative Services. The survey measures commuter behavior by asking faculty, staff, and students to indicate the mode of transportation they use to travel to campus each day.


The percentage of students that use each of the following modes as their primary means of transportation to get to and from campus::
