Custodial Services daily cleaners are all Green Seal certified- a neutral floor cleaner, all purpose cleaner and degreaser, window cleaner, and floor finish.
Green Seal provides science-based environmental certification standards that are credible, transparent, and essential in an increasingly educated and competitive marketplace. Green Seal industry knowledge and standards help manufacturers, purchasers, and end users alike make responsible choices that positively impact business behavior and improve quality of life.

A brief description of the energy management or benchmarking program:
Every energy source at all major campus buildings is metered on a 15-minute basis and data are trended continuously in the campus Energy Information System. UCSB uses SkySpark for metered data analysis and benchmarking. All buildings are benchmarked based on total Energy Use Intensity, Electricity use per square foot, and natural gas use per square foot.

UC Santa Barbra has adopted water management and benchmarking standards as outlined by the University of California Sustainable Water Systems Working Group. In line with the Federal Government’s Executive Order establishing a goal to reduce growth adjusted potable water consumption by 36% by 2025, and an interim target of 20% by 2020 compared to the three-year average baseline of FY2005/06, FY2006/07, and FY2007/08.
