In Fall 2015, UCSB was awarded a $524,847 grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI) Program. This was UCSB's first year in qualifying for HSI designation as it achieved a 25% Hispanic enrollment rate.
